Three becomes four....

Well the UPS man has finally came to our house. Nobody saw him but he must've dropped a note through the door because mummy and daddy had to go out to pick up their delivery. Mummy was annoyed because she said it was a pain for most of the night. So, bright and early and for reasons I'll never know, I couldn't go to the delivery office and mummy called grandad and got him off the toilet to come and get me. Thankfully he'd pulled up his strides by the time he got to ours.

Mummy told grandad she had pains every 10 minutes, knowing daddy and grandad that's not surprising. The UPS man will not be popular for this, but she had to do her hair before she left. The major operation of mummy's hair was actually done in record time and it was done in the time that I was running around in the nuddy to being fully dressed and out the door with my 'trusty' guardian. I thought I was off to the child keepers for the day as normal but grandad took me to his house instead. I'm now expecting a call from the local truancy officer and it's not my fault!!!

Daddy phoned grandad about 10am and said they'd got their parcel. They said it weighed just shy of 7lb (3kg in European money) which must've cost a fortune to send at the current postal rates. It must be a horrible parcel because grandad wiped away a little tear from his eye, he then put the phone down then came over and picked me up which bugged me a tad because I didn't want to be picked up. He then babbled on and on about babies and stuff but to be honest, I've no idea what he meant and I'm a bit young to be learning about that sort of stuff, thank you very much! I told grandad mummy had a baby in her tummy but he said she hasn't now - is he calling me a fibber??? He said mummy has now got the baby out of her tummy and that I was now going to be a big brother. Grandad, I'm two foot nothing in my colourful socks so I'm hardly going to be a big anything am I?

It now appears that there was a baby in the parcel and we've a new member in our family. A little boy who is to be called Oliver, so probably Ollie - or by the time grandad shortens his name (which he always does) he'll be 'O'. I'm now beginning to understand what all this Big Brother stuff was really about and I am the big brother so won't be meeting Davina McCall after all. A new person, how cool is that although I'd still sooner have had a puppy but nanna said you can't take them to Legoland. Nanna, with entrance fees to Legoland near The Queen now standing at £46 for an adult and £41 for nippers and codgers, I don't think the rush to Legoland at the moment will be too severe!!!!!

Me and grandad took Millie into town for a walk and a good think to clear our heads - will Ollie want my teddies, will he want my kitchen stuff and to share my new big bus bed? So much to do but Ollie, my new best friend, what's mine is yours and what's yours is mine - although it appears you're getting a much better deal out of this at the moment but I really don't mind. We finished our walk and made our way home where all the excitement left me exhausted, so I went to kip.

Daddy came back about 2.30pm and took me to the hospital to see mummy and baby Ollie. Nanny Jan was there too and that was lovely, I think she may have been collecting a parcel from there too but I didn't see it. We had some pictures taken, which I presume are for OK magazine or Hello! or one of those celebrity glossaries and made our way home. Mummy went into hospital about 7.30 this morning, collected her parcel at 8.50am (in the water I must add - Ollie went swimming before me today!) and we were leaving as a bigger family by 3pm!! That's about 7 hours, 6 hours from when Olllie was swimming - mummy has been known to take longer doing her hair than that, talk about whooshing?!?!

Once home in the afternoon, nanna and grandad popped in the see us all and they had a cuddle with Ollie and of course, yours truly. Millie stayed at home to get the dinner ready for them.

So that's it, three has now become four.

More later, I'm off to play with Ollie
