On Friday, like a plague of ravenous locusts, we descended on the half suspecting old fella; Me, Bear and Livz along with mummy, daddy and Rosie (Livz's mummy). We joined grandad and Millie and filled the house to bursting point. You could hardly swing a cat around which is a good thing because grandad says that quite cruel. Nanny Vi says its ok because she doesn't give a monkeys about pussy cats. We had lunch and the 'grown-ups' took part in a little jovial chat. Because daddy has the day off, it can only mean one thing; I have to take grandad to swimming lessons in the morning.
At swimming we had to move the bits from one side to the other doing kicky front and kicky back but first we done 'Wheels on the bus' to warm up our kicky legs and swimmy arms. After that we were given a big float to take across the pool. As there were no proper floats left, Teacher Helen said I could have a special one because I was already good at this so she gave me a hippo float!!! A purple hippo with a big gormless smiley face (a bit like grandad), it was funny and we paddled it across the other side. We followed this with floaty bricks and things and then Teacher Helen told us we should be making a boat. Grandad made our boat and put the hippo float on top like a sail. It looked so stupid! How on earth can I empress my little lady class mates with a stupid looking hippo boat? Grandad has no idea when it comes to this type of thing.
When we got changed we were next to a man who was drying his little person. Now this man isn't in grandad's league! Whilst drying the little soggy tyke, the man pushed him through the gap between the benches and just managed to catch the unsuspecting minature Tom Daley by his feet before he done a double somersault onto the concrete floor. He looked like a bungee jumper without the bungee!!! We got back home just as Bear was about to have his dinner so grandad posted me through the letterbox and made a hasty retreat.
We were back at grandad's on Sunday as they invited us for Sunday lunch (obviously). Nanna cooked the chook with lovely crispy spuds and wind-inducing vegtables and as we sat down to eat, Bear decided it was his lunchtime too. Can't see why he has to sit with mummy and can't sit in my old booster seat because I'm now in the big boy chair with a vast amount of cushioning. We had some cake and some caramel slices for afters and very nice they were too. It did appear that there weren't as many caramelslice as it said on the packet so I'm writing to the company to get them to improve their quality control. Can't believe they can let a packet go out to shops with four slices missing.
Monday was our back to normal day and today it was pizza cooking day. We popped to the shops for the topping greedy ants and grandad let me collect the bits. We got much romms and lazy cheese, the type that is already grated. Don't know why because cheese is always great. Grandad's grater is likely to add my fingers to the recipe so we got the lazy cheese instead. Back home, dough rolled and picked up off the floor and picked out of Millie and then ready for our topping, I added the much rooms I'd cut with my little blue knife and the lazy cheese. On went the cutty-up'd ham that I done (apart from the bits I gave to Millie) and then into the oven it went. When it was cooked, grandad took it out and we cut off a super-sized chunk for me and the rest we took back for mummy.
Before I went home, we watched a bit of golf on the telly. Grandad needs to learn how to play properly because he's off on his World Golf Tour the week after next - AND HE'S MISSING MY BIRTHDAY PARTY AGAIN!!! After that the was some people jumping off the boards at the World Jumping Championships at the Aquatic Centre near the Lympik Stadium. That was brilliant and Icopied them by jumping off the settee and into the relatively soft landing area of grandad's belly.
Another great day, in fact another great weekend.
Tarrar by now chucks
